Yankees' Alex Rodriguez: Aiming for Thursday return
Rodriguez (hamstring) took early batting practice Monday and is on track to return Thursday, Wallace Matthews of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:
Rodriguez has been recovering from a right hamstring strain he suffered on May 3 and has been steadily progressing toward a return. The 40-year-old veteran has been jogging prior to games and hitting in the cages, but hitting BP means he's near game-ready. However, he was batting just .194 prior to hitting the DL.
