Rangers' Ian Desmond: Mashes fourth homer against White Sox
Desmond homered, his fourth, as part of a 2-for-5 game with two runs scored and three RBI Tuesday against the White Sox.
Analysis:
Desmond extended his hit streak to six games. With a triple on top of the home run, Desmond has seven extra-base hits over the hitting streak and has raised his slugging percentage from .357 to .439 in the process. Power is often among the most streaky of the batting statistics. With this latest hot streak, Desmond's batting line (.252/.326/.439) is almost identical to his 2014 season in Washington (.255/.313/.430), when he hit 24 home runs and stole 24 bases.
