Cardinals' Yadier Molina: Starting at first base Wednesday
Molina is starting at first base and batting fifth Wednesday against the Phillies.
Analysis:
Outside of one inning at the position earlier this season, this marks the first time Molina will play first base since playing one game there in 2014. It should be a nice break on Molina's toe and thumb that bothered him during the offseason and spring training, and if he can garner more time at first base throughout the season, he could get additional positional eligibility.
