Nationals' Tanner Roark: Takes no-decision against Royals
Roark allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and two walks over 7.1 innings in a no-decision Tuesday against the Nationals.
Analysis:
Roark had his scoreless innings streak snapped at 17.1 innings by an Alcides Escobar RBI single in the third inning. The Nationals starter at least looked human in this one after striking out 21 over 14 shutout innings in his last two starts. Roark now has four quality starts in his last five outings and an excellent 2.35 ERA in 38.1 innings to open the season.
