Ortega is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Analysis:

Ortega had started in each of the previous five games, going 6-for-18 with an RBI and two walks. The 24-year-old doesn't have much pop in his bat, but he's still likely to see the majority of the playing time in left field with Daniel Nava (knee) on the DL and Craig Gentry (back) in line for a similar fate. The newly-recalled Shane Robinson will swap in for Ortega on Sunday.
