Analysis:
Granderson will get his second day off of the week, this time giving way to Juan Lagares, who will cover right field and bat atop the order on Sunday afternoon. With lefty Madison Bumgarner scheduled to take the hill for the opposing Giants, manager Terry Collins likely wanted to get as many right-handed bats in his lineup as possible. Granderson is just 4-for-18 with two extra-base hits against southpaws this season.
