Rodriguez (oblique) is back in the lineup Wednesday, serving as the designated hitter from the fifth spot in the order against the Rangers.
Analysis:
Rodriguez missed the first two games of the Yankees' series against the Rangers due to some oblique stiffness, but he was able to take swings Tuesday and he'll return to the order for Wednesday's contest. His return to the lineup will move Mark Teixeira back to first base Wednesday while Dustin Ackley will be bumped from the order entirely. Rodriguez and the Yankees will be squaring off against Rangers lefty Martin Perez.
