 George Springer had his first three-hit game of the season on Sunday against Arizona -- including a pair of home runs -- and has hit safely in his last eight games. His eight home runs this month are tied for the most in the AL, with three others.

The Mariners, who have been displaced for the past five games because of poor air quality due to wildfires in the Pacific Northwest, will return to Seattle to play host to the Houston Astros on Monday night.

SEATTLE (AP)  Marco Gonzales pumped his fist and let out a scream after striking out Michael Brantley on a full-count pitch to finish off eight shutout innings.
The emotion poured out. Seattle's ace was determined to finally get the best of the Astros, and in the process he helped provide the final blow in ending Houston's run atop the AL West.
