 This will be the first meetings between Arizona and San Francisco this season. Almost one-third of the remaining schedules for the Diamondbacks (10 of last 34) and the Giants (10 of last 33) will be against one another.

 The Diamondbacks won the 2019 season series 10-9 in large part because they won seven of nine at Oracle Park. The seven victories were the second most Arizona has ever had in a single season at Oracle Park (8-2 in 2015).

 Dating back to June 30, 2018, Ketel Marte has multiple hits in 12 of his last 21 games against the Giants. In 20 career games at Oracle Park, Marte has a .342/.409/.633 slash line with four home runs and nine walks against just four strikeouts.

 2018 No. 2 overall pick catcher Joey Bart made his major-league debut last night and checked in with a sixth-inning double. He also got to catch 184 pitches from five different Giants hurlers. Last night was Bart's first game above AA. He played 22 games for Double-A Richmond in 2019.

 Robbie Ray has had a tough start to his season, but on Sunday versus San Diego he threw five innings and allowed just one run. The good news was that he didn't even allow a single hit, the bad news was that he walked six (for the second time this season) and now leads the majors with 20 bases on balls in just 22.0 innings of work.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP)  Tyler Anderson pitched a three-hitter for his first career complete game, overshadowing a record-tying night for Zac Gallen as the streaking San Francisco Giants beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-1 on Saturday.
Mike Yastrzemski and Alex Dickerson drew consecutive walks with the bases loaded against reliever Junior Guerra in the seventh inning to break open a tight game. Brandon Belt singled twice and had an RBI.
