 In the first six games of the season, Cincinnati averaged 6.2 runs per game and hit 12 home runs (2 per game), but in its last seven games, the offense has mustered just 2.1 runs per game with six home runs and hitting just .177 as a team.

 Trevor Bauer will face Milwaukee for the first time in his career. The Brewers are one of three MLB teams that Bauer has never faced, and the other two are San Francisco and Cleveland, where he pitched from 2013-19. Bauer has 20 strikeouts through two starts, just like teammate Sonny Gray had through two starts this season. Prior to 2020, the last Reds pitcher to have 20+ K's through two games was Mario Soto in 1982.

Sonny Gray has been simply stellar for the Cincinnati Reds during the early portion of this condensed season. Meanwhile, Brandon Woodruff has looked pretty solid for the Milwaukee Brewers.
These two staff aces will match up Sunday afternoon, when the visiting Reds look to complete a three-game series sweep of the Brewers.

MILWAUKEE (AP)  Christian Yelich and Milwaukee's slumping hitters finally busted out, enabling the Brewers to earn their first home victory of the year.
Yelich homered, tripled  and drew a bases-loaded walk as the Brewers beat the Cincinnati Reds 9-3 on Sunday to avoid their first 0-5 home start since 1970, the franchise's inaugural season in Milwaukee.
