 The White Sox have won 16 of 20 games against Milwaukee since 2000.  The Brewers haven't won two games in the same series against the Sox since July 1999, and their all-time record at Guaranteed Rate Field is 19--36 (.345).

 The White Sox won their last three games—one at Cleveland, three at Kansas City, and two at Milwaukee.  The Sox hadn't won the last six games of a road trip since August 2013, when they returned home to win two of three against Texas and two of three versus Houston.

 The top of the batting order has failed Milwaukee this season.  The top three spots have combined for a .168 batting average, although they do have nearly as many walks (13) as hits (16).

 With 16 hits to date, Luis Robert has tied the second-highest total in White Sox history by a player in his first 11 games in the majors.  Craig Wilson set that record by going 21-for-44 (.477) in his first 11 games in Sept. 1998.  The other Sox player with 16 hits through 11 MLB games is George Washington (1935).

 Adrian Houser was groomed for the rotation, starting 114 of 135 appearances in the minors (2011--19). But he has struggled in that role for the Brewers (2--7, 4.41 ERA in 19 starts) after excelling out of the bullpen (4--0, 1.94 ERA in 26 relief appearances).

 Dallas Keuchel is 2--0 with wins over the Twins and Royals.  With a victory tonight, he could join a short list of pitchers who won their first three appearances for the White Sox, including three in this century—Esteban Loaiza (2003), Jake Peavy (2009), and Mat Latos (2016)—after only three did so in the 1900s.

The Milwaukee Brewers' four-day break brought on by a COVID-19 outbreak in the St. Louis clubhouse did have at least one bright spot.
As the Brewers sat by while their series against the Cardinals last week was postponed, right-hander Josh Lindblom got extra time to heal from back spasms that cut short his Milwaukee debut.

Brewers hope delay served Lindblom well

CHICAGO (AP)  Christian Yelich hit his first career inside-the-park homer and walked four times, helping the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Chicago White Sox 8-3 on Thursday night.
Jedd Gyorko homered and drove in three runs for Milwaukee, and Mark Mathias had two hits and two RBIs. Josh Lindblom (1-0) struck out a career-high seven in five innings.
