 The Red Sox are 7-8 in interleague play in 2019 after going 16-4 against the National League in each of the previous two seasons. Boston's 66-29 record in interleague games since 2015 is the best in the majors, and the Red Sox haven't had a losing mark against the NL since going 9-11 in 2014.

 With their four home runs in Thursday's win over the Braves, the Phillies set a franchise season record with 117 homers at home. Philadelphia has just 78 homers on the road this season and owns the largest difference in the majors (+39) between home runs in home and away games.

 Rafael Devers and Xander Bogaerts are the first teammates in Red Sox history to each record 50 doubles in a season and the first duo to do so in the majors since Colorado's Todd Helton and Jeff Cirillo in 2000. They're the first AL tandem to reach the mark since Seattle's Alex Rodriguez and Edgar Martinez in 1996.

 Bryce Harper has homered in two of his last four interleague games but is batting just .148 (8-for-54) against the AL this season, the lowest average among NL hitters in interleague play in 2019 (min. 50 PA).

 Mookie Betts enters the series batting .412 (21-of-51) with seven homers, 11 RBI and a 1.328 OPS over his last 12 games and has reached base safely in a season-high 25 straight games. His .335 average since July 1 ranks fourth among qualified AL hitters.

 Aaron Nola's 1.60 ERA against AL teams since 2017 trails only Tampa Bay's Blake Snell (1.58) for the lowest in the majors in interleague play over that span (min. 10 starts). Nola carries a seven-start interleague unbeaten streak into Saturday's opener, a stretch in which he's 3-0 with a 1.49 ERA.

PHILADELPHIA (AP)  A little lunchtime wisdom served Christian Vazquez well.
Vazquez homered twice, including his first career grand slam, and drove in a career-high five runs to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 6-3 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday.
