 The Yankees and the Red Sox are averaging more than six runs per game against the other this season, and the combined total of 13.06 per game makes this the highest-scoring season series ever between these two franchises.

 Gleyber Torres, 22, has 58 home runs in his career, the second most all-time by a Yankee in his first two MLB seasons (Joe DiMaggio -- 75). The only Yankees all-time with more home runs before turning 23 are Mickey Mantle (84) and the aforementioned DiMaggio (75).

 In hitting his 34th home run of the season on Tuesday, Gary Sanchez set the franchise single-season mark for HR by a catcher, breaking his own record of 33 set in 2017. Sanchez and Yogi Berra (1952 & 1956) are the only Yankees catchers all-time with multiple 30-home run seasons.
