 Minnesota won two of three over Texas in early July, scoring 22 combined runs in winning the first two of the series before scoring one in a loss. The Twins had 13 extra-base hits in the first game of that series -- only the Red Sox have had more in a game this season (14 on July 25).

 The Rangers lost two of three to the Blue Jays and have lost three consecutive series, tied with the Orioles and Rockies for the longest active series losing streak. The Rangers have scored one or no runs in five of their nine games played over this stretch, with the team hitting .179.

 Minnesota split a two-game set with Milwaukee and has now gone three straight series without a series win. This is only the second three-series span without a win for Minnesota this season, with the other streak spanning July 16-24.

Minnesota won the first two games of the four-game series, 13-6 on Thursday and a 4-3 nail-biter on Friday night. The latest result increased the Twins' lead in the American League Central to 1 1/2 games over the Cleveland Indians, who dropped a 3-2 decision to the New York Yankees.

Twins' Berrios aims to seal series win at Texas

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP)  Tyler Duffey's season win total increased before the game while he was sitting in the clubhouse and again Saturday night after he was back out on the mound for the Minnesota Twins.
Duffey got the decision in the Twins' latest win by retiring the last two batters of the fifth inning and leaving the bases loaded in a 12-7 victory over the Texas Rangers. Hours before the first pitch, he was awarded a win for Minnesota's 4-3 victory Friday night that originally was credited to Sam Dyson.
