 The Marlins have doubled, tripled, and homered in each of their last three games, the third such streak in franchise history -- the others were in April 2007 and June-July 2003. No other team in MLB has done this in 2019, and the Brewers were the only team to do it last season.

 Since the All-Star break, the New York Mets lead MLB in winning percentage (15-6, .714), ERA (2.91), and home runs allowed (18). Prior to the break, the Mets ranked 24th (40-50, .444), 21st (4.86), and t-13th (124) in these categories, respectively.

 The Mets have won seven of their last eight at Citi Field against the Marlins, including a two-game sweep in May. The Mets have a +24 (40-16) run differential in these games and a 1.42 team ERA.

 In four games since coming off the IL, Jon Berti has hit .353 (6/17) with a .941 OPS, and he's driven in a run in all three games in August, which have been his first three career games in the #2 lineup spot.

 Robinson Cano has had four straight multi-hit games, during which he's scored seven runs and doubled four times. The only other National Leaguers with four doubles and seven runs over any four-game span this season are Justin Turner, Eugenio Suarez and Paul DeJong.

 Jeff McNeil is currently MLB's batting leader, his .336 batting average slightly edging DJ LeMahieu (.335). He's homered in back-to-back games, the first time he's done that in his young career, and in his last game he scored four runs, the second Met to do so this season (Amed Rosario, July 17).

A little more than three weeks later, the math is entirely different for the Mets, who will arrive home Monday afternoon as one of the hottest teams in baseball and with a chance to move over .500 during a doubleheader against the Marlins.

NEW YORK (AP)  Pete Alonso turned on a fastball and raised his arms high in triumph, still holding his bat. Fans at Citi Field roared, just like they had moments earlier for J.D. Davis and Michael Conforto.
The New York Mets hit three home runs in an inning for the first time exactly two years, riding a raucous seventh-inning rally to beat the Miami Marlins 5-4 Monday night for a doubleheader sweep that moved them above .500 for the first time since early May.
