 The Rockies took two of three games from the Reds in Denver from July 12-14 and have won all three series between the teams since the start of last season. Since 2013, Colorado has won the season series against Cincinnati in every year but one, with the Reds going 5-2 vs. the Rockies in 2016.

 The Reds lead the NL in home runs (7), batting average (.354) and OPS (1.097) in the first inning during July and are 20-4 at home when scoring first this season.

 Colorado's four homers in Thursday's 8-7 win at Washington were its most in a road game since also hitting four at Philadelphia on May 19. The Rockies averaged 0.89 homers per game on the road in between those contests, trailing only Kansas City for the lowest mark in the majors.

 Eugenio Suarez leads the NL with seven home runs since the All-Star break and his 10 homers this month are the most by a Reds player in July since Adam Dunn had 12 in 2008.

 Daniel Murphy's .382 career average at Great American Ball Park is the highest in the stadium's history (min. 95 PA). He's 8-for-17 (.471) with three homers and 10 RBI over his last four games there, though the most recent came in 2017.

 Luis Castillo leads all MLB qualified pitchers with a .155 batting average against at home. The 2019 All-Star has surrendered three home runs in 70 innings at Great American Ball Park this season, trailing only the Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu (0.38) for the fewest allowed per nine innings at home in 2019 (min. 70 IP).

Murphy hit a three-run homer and a three-run double to tie his career high with six RBIs, leading Colorado over the Reds 12-2 on Friday night and giving the Rockies consecutive wins for the first time since June 28 and 29.
