The implication is that his hitters tend to batter opposing pitchers, and among those doing it extremely well is infielder DJ LeMahieu, whom the Yankees signed away from the Colorado Rockies to a two-year contract this winter.

Rockies look to turn tide vs. streaking Yankees

NEW YORK (AP)  Since swapping purple for pinstripes, DJ LeMahieu, Adam Ottavino and Mike Tauchman have flourished. The first-year Yankees got to show their old club what it's missing Friday night.
Edwin Encarnacion hit a go-ahead grand slam and the trio of ex-Rockies poured it on in their first reunion with Colorado, helping New York to an 8-2 win.
