Jeimer Candelario is back in the Detroit Tigers' lineup, and manager Ron Gardenhire hopes the team finally will have some stability at third base.
Candelario was recalled from Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday and got two hits against the visiting Texas Rangers, raising his season average to .189. He is likely to get another start when the teams close out their three-game series on Thursday.

DETROIT (AP)  Joey Gallo nearly backed up his manager's big prediction.
Gallo hit two solo homers, Ariel Jurado threw seven shutout innings and the Rangers completed a three-game sweep of Detroit with a 3-1 win over the Tigers on Thursday.
