 The Rockies have won nine of their last 11 games against the Mets dating back to July 2017, and the team has hit .315 with 20 home runs over that stretch. The Mets also hit .296 in those games, their highest average against any opponent since 2017.

 The Mets won two of three over the Giants and have gone 11-2 in their last 13 home games. They've homered in 13 straight home games, their longest streak since the opening of Citi Field in 2009.

 Colorado lost two of three to the Cubs at Wrigley, and despite a 9-1 record in their last 10 home games, the Rockies are 3-7 over their last 10 road games. The Rockies are hitting .298 at home this season, best in MLB, but .229 away from home, 28th in MLB.

Jeff Hoffman was one of the prized assets the Colorado Rockies acquired from Toronto in the Troy Tulowitzki deal four years ago. He hasn't been able to stay in the rotation in his time in Colorado, but with Kyle Freeland struggling and Tyler Anderson hurt, the 26-year-old Hoffman has a chance to make an impression.
The right-hander has had mixed results in four starts since his call-up last month, and he's coming off of a gritty, tough outing at the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night. He gets another chance to show he belongs in the rotation when he gets the start at the New York Mets on Sunday.

Rockies try to end road trip at .500 against Mets

NEW YORK (AP)  With four wins in five days, the New York Mets are riding some momentum into the Subway Series.
Noah Syndergaard allowed one hit over seven shutout innings, Todd Frazier homered and drove in four runs, and the Mets beat the Colorado Rockies 6-1 on Sunday for their 13th victory in 16 home games.
