 Since 2013, the Nationals have gone 42-16 at home against the Marlins. This is the best home record by any team versus any divisional opponent over that span.

 The Nationals have lost five straight entering this series, despite having more hits than their opponents over these five games (40-39). The team had two five-game losing streaks last season, but has not lost more than five straight since June 2016 (seven straight).

 In Garrett Cooper's first 38 career games, he had no home runs. He has since homered in both his 39th and 40th career games, including a go-ahead grand slam in the ninth inning yesterday. He was inserted into the #2 spot in the lineup for the first time six games ago, and the M's haven't lost since.
