 The Brewers won four of six games against the Nationals last season, winning the season series for the third consecutive year. The Brewers have had a winning record against the Nationals/Expos in four straight seasons just once, from 2007-2010.

 The Nationals dropped two of three road games at the Phillies over the weekend, their fifth consecutive series lost. That is the longest streak for Washington since it lost five straight series from August 22 to September 8, 2011 (minimum two games for series).

 The Brewers swept the Mets at home over the weekend, including an 18-inning win on Saturday. Milwaukee failed to homer in that game despite having 69 plate appearances, the only home game this season in which the Brewers have not had at least one home run.

 Kurt Suzuki has homered in three straight games, including a pinch-hit game-tying home run in the Nationals' win on Saturday. The last catcher in franchise history to hit a longball in three straight games was Michael Barrett in July 2003 (based on primary position in season).

 Christian Yelich returned to the Brewers' starting lineup on Sunday (he had a pinch-hit appearance on Saturday), homering for the 15th time this season -- 14 of which have come at home. No other batter has double-digit home runs in home games this season.

Right-hander Brandon Woodruff allowed just one run in six innings and was backed by three homers as the host Milwaukee Brewers beat the slumping Washington Nationals 7-3 on Wednesday afternoon, completing a three-game sweep.
Washington has lost four straight and 14 of its last 19 games, while the Brewers have won nine of the last 12.

MILWAUKEE (AP)  Yet again, Christian Yelich quickly swung things in Milwaukee's favor.
The reigning NL MVP connected in the first inning for his major league-leading 16th home run and the Brewers won their sixth straight game, beating the Washington Nationals 7-3 on Wednesday.
