The Phillies lost two of three to the Nationals in their last series as Bryce Harper went just 1-of-9 against his former team. Philly has scored 15 runs in its last five games after scoring 49 runs over the first six games of the season.

The Marlins were swept by the Reds as they managed to score just one run in the three-game set. It was the first time the Marlins have been held to one run or fewer in a series since July 19-21, 2013 against the Brewers (zero runs scored).

Philadelphia won the season series with Miami last season, 11-8, the ninth consecutive season the Phillies have won the season series with the Marlins.

Andrew McCutchen has begun his Phillies career hitting just .211, but has a .388 on-base percentage thanks to 11 walks. The only players with more walks this season are teammate Bryce Harper (13) and Mike Trout (13).

Brian Anderson went 2-for-3 with a walk against the Reds on Thursday after being held hitless in his previous three games. He has just one RBI so far this year after recording 65 last season, fifth most among rookies.

Sandy Alcantara is 3-1 with a 1.50 ERA in four career starts at home, allowing just four runs despite walking 13 batters. He pitched seven scoreless innings against the Phillies on September 5 last season, allowing just three hits in the 2-1 Miami win.

Now that the Miami Marlins have finally broken their five-game losing streak and busted out of a brutal hitting slump, perhaps they can win their first series of the year Sunday.
The Marlins routed the visiting Philadelphia Phillies 10-3 on Saturday after scoring a total of just two runs in their previous four games. The Marlins also banged out a season-best 18 hits.
