 Last season, Milwaukee went 13-6 against Cincinnati, tying the most wins by either team in the series all-time (Reds went 13-6 against the Brewers in 2002). The Brewers tossed five shutouts against the Reds last season, tied for their most against any opponent in a season all-time (also vs. the Angels in 1971).

 Milwaukee began this season winning three out of four against the Cardinals, with all three wins coming by two runs or fewer. The Brewers won a franchise-record 50 games by two runs or fewer last season.

 In the Reds' second game of the season, they committed four errors, tied for their most in a game in the last 10 years. It was their first game with four different players committing an error since May 20, 2014.

 After winning back-to-back starts last April, Zach Davies went 0-5 in his last eight starts of 2018, failing to make it through six innings in any of them. Davies has allowed three earned runs or fewer in nine of his 10 career starts against the Reds.

 Tanner Roark will be making his Cincinnati debut after six seasons with Washington. Roark has a 2.68 career ERA in eight games (seven starts) against the Brewers.

 Reigning NL MVP Christian Yelich has homered in each of his first four games of the season, tying the longest streak to start a season all-time. Yelich is the first player in MLB history to tally 4+ home runs and 6+ walks in his team's first four games of a season.

The Cincinnati Reds will turn to their young ace to try to end a three-game losing streak, while the Milwaukee Brewers are going even younger in looking to extend their early-season winning streak to five.
The Brewers, who have beaten the Reds 4-3 on consecutive nights, will send 22-year-old right-hander Freddy Peralta to the mound on Wednesday afternoon in search of a sweep at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.

CINCINNATI (AP)  Freddy Peralta threw the ball past the free-swinging Reds or got them to hit it into the air harmlessly. The 22-year-old right-hander had a career day and provided the Brewers with yet another close-as-it-gets win.
Peralta allowed a pair of singles over a career-high eight innings, and Manny Pina singled home a run with Milwaukee's only hit off Luis Castillo on Wednesday, leading the Brewers to a 1-0 victory and a three-game sweep.
