 The Blue Jays swept the Royals in the first series between these teams this season, outscoring Kansas City 31-12 and slashing .330/.429/.554 in the three-game set. The Blue Jays are hitting .264 in August, fourth-highest in the AL, and on pace for the team's best batting average in a single month this season.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP)  Curtis Granderson held up both hands, showing 10 fingers, one for each grand slam.
Granderson ran his career grand slam total into the double digits, Marco Estrada pitched effectively into the seventh inning and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Kansas City Royals 6-5 on Wednesday night.
