 Cleveland has won seven of nine to increase its lead in the AL Central to 12.0 games, the largest division lead of any team so far in 2018. Cleveland has a +116 run differential this season, while the other four teams in the AL Central have combined for a -505 run differential.

 The Reds took two of three against the Diamondbacks despite not hitting a single home run in the series. It was the first homerless three-game series that Cincinnati has won since taking two of three against St. Louis from September 2-4, 2016.

 Since July 25, Cleveland ranks first in MLB in ERA (2.27), opponent batting average (.208), opponent OPS (.590), and WHIP (0.98). During that same time, Cleveland starters have averaged 10.1 strikeouts per nine innings, and have allowed one or fewer runs in nine of the 17 games.

 In 11 road starts this season, Mike Clevinger has a 2.69 ERA, good for fifth best among qualified AL starting pitchers. Clevinger has struggled thus far in his career in interleague play, posting an 0-3 record with a 5.47 ERA in five career starts against the NL.

 Eugenio Suarez leads the Reds with 88 RBI, while Scooter Gennett ranks second on the team with 68. That 20 RBI gap between first and second place is the largest among NL teams in 2018.

 With one more stolen base, Francisco Lindor (29 HR and 19 SB) will join Jose Ramirez (34 HR and 27 SB) as the first and only pair of Cleveland teammates to have 20+ HR and 20+ SB in the same season since Bobby Bonds and Toby Harrah accomplished the feat in 1979.

CINCINNATI (AP)  Cleveland Indians manager Terry Francona turned to Yandy Diaz in a big spot, and he delivered.
Diaz hit a tiebreaking RBI double in Cleveland's seven-run sixth inning, helping the Indians pull away from the Cincinnati Reds for a 10-3 victory on Monday night.
