The Braves have won nine of 12 meetings with the Mets this season and swept a three-game series at Citi Field from May 1-3. Atlanta outscored the Mets 21-2 in that series and has homered 15 times in its last eight games against New York.

After sweeping a rain-shortened two-game set with the Marlins, the Braves improved to 31-16 (.660) against NL East opponents, the best intradivision winning percentage among NL teams. Atlanta is 22-9 in division games since April 28.

Michael Conforto is slashing .342/.409/1.093 while hitting safely in nine of 11 games since the All-Star break, though his .171 season average at home is the lowest among qualified NL players. Conforto has posted a .907 OPS on the road compared to .579 at Citi Field, the highest differential in the majors among qualifiers.

Freddie Freeman ranks second in the majors among qualified hitters with a .371 average (26-for-70) since July 7. He's hitting .413 (19-for-46) with 11 RBI and a .472 OBP against the Mets this season and owns a .317 career average at Citi Field.

Jason Vargas is 0-3 with an 8.10 ERA in four starts since throwing five scoreless innings to beat the Braves in Atlanta on May 30. Vargas' 8.36 ERA is the highest in Mets history among pitchers with at least 40 IP.

Kevin Gausman is scheduled to make his Atlanta debut Saturday. The former Oriole is 3-10 with a 6.39 ERA in 18 career starts against NL teams, including a 0-2 mark in three 2018 matchups with the NL East.

Acuna led off with his first big league triple and reached three times, Johan Camargo hit a two-run double in a three-run third inning and the Atlanta Braves beat the New York Mets 4-2 Thursday night to extend their winning streak to four.
