The Tigers will travel across the border to face the Blue Jays for their second series of 2018. The Tigers took two of three in Detroit, but the Blue Jays have won 10 of the last 13 in Toronto dating back to 2014.

The Tigers have lost nine consecutive games and haven't shut out an opponent since April 8. Their streak of 74 games without a shutout is longest in MLB this season, recently topping the Blue Jays' previous high of 69 games.

The victory, propelled by a grand slam from Nicholas Castellanos, a career-best four hits by Niko Goodrum and seven strong innings by starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann, ended an 11-game losing streak.

Relieved Tigers to finish series at Blue Jays

TORONTO (AP)  After a rotten finish to June, the Detroit Tigers have started July with a modest winning streak.
Jose Iglesias hit a tiebreaking sacrifice fly in the 10th inning and the Tigers recovered from a blown save in the ninth to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 3-2 on Monday, Detroit's second straight victory following a season-long 11-game losing streak.
