The Atlanta Braves and the Tampa Bay Rays will meet for the first time since 2015, when Atlanta won three of four. From 2016 on, the Braves have scored the third-fewest runs per game (3.98) among National League teams in interleague play and the Rays have scored the third-fewest runs per game (tied with Angels, 4.28) among American League teams in interleague play.

The Braves have lost three-straight for the first time in 2018. They were one of the last three teams to suffer a three-game losing streak this season; Cleveland lost their third-straight on the same day and the Yankees have not lost three in a row, yet.

The Rays had their six-game home win streak snapped in the last game of their weekend series with Toronto.  The Rays are one of three teams (Texas and Toronto) who have yet to shut out an opponent this season.

Nick Markakis is hitting .442 since April 23, which is the second-highest average (Andrelton Simmons, .452) among players who have been to the plate at least 40 times since then.

Tampa Bay's Wilson Ramos is riding a 14-game hit streak, the longest active streak in MLB.  The last time a Rays player had a streak of 15 games or greater was James Loney in 2013 (16 games).

Blake Snell's 2.55 ERA is the fourth lowest this season among qualified pitchers 25 and younger.  Sean Newcomb leads hurlers in that same group with 10.90 strikeouts per nine innings pitched.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- There are familiar faces on both sides as the Tampa Bay Rays and Atlanta Braves open a split interleague series -- two games at Tropicana Field this week, two at SunTrust Park in August -- on Tuesday night.
The Braves (19-14) remain in first place despite losing three straight to the Giants, their youthful success one of the better stories of the first month of the season. They've just added a new face that the Rays know well -- former Blue Jays slugger Joey Bautista, who joined the team on Friday and is hitting .300 with a double and run scored in his first weekend with the Braves.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP)  Ronald Acuna Jr. added another feat to his sensational rookie season.
Acuna became the youngest player to homer in a 1-0 game since 1935 while lifting the Atlanta Braves over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday night.
