It was a true battle of continental heavyweights Tuesday at the Estadio Universitario as Mexican champion Tigres UANL hosted MLS Cup-winner Toronto FC in the second leg of this CONCACAF Champions League quarter-final bout, and each team's star shone brightly in a 4-4 draw.

Sebastian Giovinco's inch-perfect free-kick goal - Toronto FC's second away goal on the night - proved the difference for the Reds, but Andre-Pierre Gignac scored a brace that gave Tigres a come from behind 3-2 win in the second leg. Both are considered among the best players in their respective leagues, alongside the likes of New York City FC striker David Villa and Monterrey's Aviles Hurtado.

While it's Toronto FC that ultimately advanced on away goals, the question must now be asked - who's the best footballer in North America: Giovinco, Gignac, Villa, Hurtado, or perhaps another player not given his due?
