Brooke Henderson won the Meijer LPGA Classic by one shot Sunday to become the winningest Canadian professional golfer of all time.

The 21-year-old picked up her ninth career win on the LPGA Tour with a fitting score of 21-under. Her victory in Grand Rapids, Mich., is her second of 2019.

She opened her week with back-to-back rounds of 8-under 64 and went wire-to-wire by holding off Lexi Thompson, Nasa Hataoka, Su Oh, and Brittany Altomare, who all finished as runner-ups.

With nine wins, Henderson passed Sandra Post on the all-time wins list for a Canadian. She also moved ahead of Mike Weir and George Knudson, who won eight times each on the PGA Tour.
