Ronald Koeman thinks Romelu Lukaku is good enough to play for Barcelona.

The Everton striker has courted interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Juventus over the past year, and with seven Premier League goals to start the season, he has provided Koeman an early glimpse of his finishing prowess.

"Lukaku has the potential to become an amazing striker," the Everton manager told HLN, as quoted by ESPN FC. "He is only 23 years old and he's only getting better.

"He is one of the best I have ever seen - both as a player and as a coach - when it comes to making that final decision in front of goal."

A move to Barcelona isn't on the cards just yet. Luis Suarez is in the middle of negotiating a contract extension, and Neymar only recently agreed to terms on a new five-year deal. There is an established attacking nucleus at the Camp Nou.

But there's still plenty of time.

"I think (Lukaku) can emulate Patrick Kluivert, who also rose to prominence at a young age and enjoyed a fantastic career," added Koeman. "He eventually played for Barcelona and I can see Lukaku doing the same."

Though Lukaku has a contract until 2019, the Dutchman is realistic about Everton's position in the player's career arc.

"Everton should normally not be the end for him. Romelu will not have made the most of his career if he players for Everton for the remainder of his career."
