Ronaldo vows to retire at Real Madrid in his 40s

Cristiano Ronaldo has once again vowed to retire at Real Madrid, insisting that he will play for Los Blancos until he's at least 40 years old.

Fresh off winning the third Champions League title of his career, Ronaldo was unequivocal about his future at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"I'm going to retire at Real Madrid at 40-something. I'm very happy here, I've worked hard to be where I am," Ronaldo told Spanish daily AS.

Ronaldo's current contract runs until June 2018, but AS reports that negotiations over a renewal have already reached an "advanced" stage.

He's currently enjoying a mini-break in Ibiza before leading Portugal to Euro 2016, where it will play Austria, Hungary, and Iceland in Group F action.

"I'm super happy that we won the Undecima and now I'm thinking about the Euros," he added. "We want to bring a little happiness to the Portuguese people. They deserve it."
