Palermo's Thiago Cionek: Starts once for Poland during Euro 2016

Cionek started one game for Poland during Euro 2016, tallying one clean sheet, one cross and four fouls. He takes his international record to seven caps with no goals. Poland had a dramatic exit to the tournament after a penalty shoot-out loss to Portugal in the Quarterfinals.

Analysis:

Cionek started last season on-loan with Modena where he made 15 Serie B appearances before January. The 30-year-old defender wasn't much of a fantasy factor in the second part of the season with Palermo where he found regular playing time hard to come by, though, he finished the campaign in a very strong fashion with three clean sheets and an assist in a total of five Serie A starts.
