Juventus signed 19-year-old sensation Dejan Kulusevski from Atalanta for €35 million, the club announced Thursday.

Kulusevski, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Parma, agreed to a contract with the Bianconeri until June 2024. He'll remain at Parma until the end of the campaign.

The deal could rise by another €9 million if certain conditions are met.

Kulusevski's ascent to stardom has been sudden. Having made just three appearances for Atalanta last season, the Swede moved to Parma in July and made an instant impact. He's had a hand in 11 of Parma's 24 Serie A goals and has led the team to seventh in the standings, above the likes of Napoli and AC Milan.

"When you analyse the data, he is always among the players who cover the most distance in every game," Parma manager Roberto D'Aversa said. "He has the right mentality because he has come through the great Atalanta academy. He has the potential to be a devastating player."

A creative midfielder who can play anywhere across the front line, Kulusevski has assisted Parma's counterattack with his quick decision-making and direct style of play.

Kulusveski could eventually become the connecting tissue in Maurizio Sarri's attacking system, creating an irresistible partnership with Paulo Dybala.
