What's still at stake in final weeks of the season across Europe?

The tail end of the season is here, and with domestic climaxes across the continent coinciding with European finals, it's easy to lose track of what's going on. Here, theScore will take a look at Europe's top-five leagues, what's been settled, and what's still to play for.

Premier League

League title, Champions League: Manchester City remain in the driver's seat for the title following Monday's victory over Leicester City, leaving Liverpool with a one-point deficit ahead of a knotty visit from Wolves on the final day. City travel south to face a Brighton side who've got nary to play for.

Chelsea have secured a top-four finish, a status that Tottenham have all but claimed following Arsenal's drab home draw with Brighton.

Europa League: It's not all doom and gloom for the Gunners, with a Europa League final against the Blues offering a second opportunity for a spot in next year's Champions League. If not, it's back to the continent's second-tier tourney with Manchester United and either Watford - who get in with an FA Cup win over City - or Wolves - who are locked into the seventh spot.

Relegation: Cardiff City, Fulham, and Huddersfield Town have already started making plans for a return to life in the second tier. If concrete is your thing, be sure to pay a visit to Preston's acclaimed brutalist bus station.

La Liga

League title, Champions League: Barcelona nabbed their eighth league title in 11 years, Atletico Madrid is all but mathematically certain of finishing second, and rivals Real Madrid have landed third for a second season on the spin. Rinse, repeat.

There's a bit of excitement to be had in the race for fourth, with another capital city side, Getafe, clutching the final Champions League spot thanks to a three-point buffer on European regulars Valencia and Sevilla with two games to play.

Europa League: Should matters remain as is, Valencia and Sevilla are off to the Europa League, with the former also the recipient of a spot courtesy of making the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona. The race for seventh place is a decent one, with Athletic boasting a three-point advantage on Real Sociedad, Alaves, and Espanyol.

Relegation: Rayo Vallecano and Huesca are both cooked and will return to the Segunda Division. Girona, who sit 18th and just a point back of Real Valladolid, could be joining them a year after a surprise midtable finish and European flirtation. Celta Vigo, Levante, and Villarreal are all dangerously close to relegation as well.

Serie A

League title, Champions League: Juventus have eased their way to an eighth-straight Scudetto with nary the opposition as Napoli again play bridesmaids. The race for third and fourth is much more exciting, with Inter's tenuous grip on third threatened by red-hot Atalanta, who sit fourth with 62 points, one back of Inter.

Europa League: Milan's Champions League hopes were boosted by Monday's win over Bologna as Gennaro Gattuso's lot vaulted Roma and Torino for the fifth spot. If the Rossoneri (59 points) can't close the gap on Atalanta, it's a return to Europa League for them. Atalanta and Lazio will contest the Coppa Italia final May 15 with an automatic Europa League spot going to the winner.

Relegation: Spare a thought for the dozens of Chievo fans: I Mussi Volanti's 11-year stay in Serie A is over. A three-point deduction for false accounting didn't help, though if it's any consolation for fans of Verona's other club, the Venetian outfit went down in 2006-07 only to bounce back the following year. Frosinone is also going down, while Empoli (32 points) need Genoa (36) and Udinese (34) to trip up, or else the same fate awaits them.

Bundesliga

League title, Champions League: For the first time in seven seasons, Bayern Munich is facing competition for German top-tier honors. The Bavarians have paraded toward their six consecutive league titles with an average gap of 16.3 points on the next-best team, but with two matches to play that margin is just four on Borussia Dortmund. Who are we kidding? Congrats, Bayern. Joining Niko Kovac's side in next season's Champions League are BVB and RB Leipzig.

Europa League: Eintracht Frankfurt cling to the final UCL spot like an infant's blankie, as Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Monchengladbach, Wolfsburg, and Hoffenheim all lurk within striking distance. With Leipzig and Bayern set to lock horns in the DFB-Pokal final, finishing seventh comes with a spot in the Europa League.

Relegation: Nurnberg are headed straight back down, as will Hannover after two seasons in the Bundesliga, and Stuttgart are locked into the relegation playoff clash with one of Union Berlin, Hamburg, Heidenheim, or St. Pauli.

Ligue 1

League title, Champions League: To the surprise of absolutely nobody, Paris Saint-Germain sleepwalked to a sixth Ligue 1 title in seven years by a healthy margin despite completely unraveling in the final stages. Super Nick Pepe and Lille comfortably sit second, while Rhone-Alpes rivals Lyon (63 points) and Saint-Etienne (62) fight for the third and final Champions League berth.

Europa League: Thanks to unlikely domestic cup conquests, Strasbourg (Coupe de la Ligue) and Rennes (Coupe de France) are off to the Europa League, to be joined by Les Gones ou Les Verts. Marseille suck.

Relegation: All to play for at the bottom. Amiens (34 points) and Monaco (33) drift perilously close to Caen (30) and a relegation playoff tie with three to play. Nineteenth-place Dijon (28) and bottom Guingamp (25) need miracles to muster salvation.

Elsewhere across Europe

With two matches to play, Ajax and PSV are going Dutch on 80 points in the Eredivisie, though Erik ten Hag's Champions League semifinalists do boast a better goal differential and a simpler slate.

In Portugal, Porto's 2-2 draw at Rio Ave a fortnight ago leaves them two points adrift of spotless rival Benfica with two games remaining. Porto host another familiar foe, Sporting, on the final day.

It's also tight at the top in Turkey, where Istanbul Basaksehir's untimely end-of-season drop of form sees them level with Galatasaray at 63 points, with the two facing off on the penultimate matchday as fellow Istanbul side Besiktas (59 points) lurk nearby with three to play. Usual title threats Fenerbahce have been awful and are still seeking mathematical safety on 37 points.
