Davide Calabria could be forced to sit out the Italy Under-21 squad's European Championship campaign this summer after suffering a leg injury during AC Milan's Coppa Italia elimination on Wednesday.
The club said scans revealed a compound fracture of the left fibula. Another scan is scheduled to take place in around a month, which effectively rules the full-back out of Milan's five remaining Serie A matches.
Calabria, 22, was substituted just before halftime of the 1-0 midweek defeat to Lazio with the issue. He's appeared 26 times for the Rossoneri in the league and featured four times during Milan's disastrous Europa League group stage elimination.
