The carousel keeps turning, as AC Milan announced the signing of Krzysztof Piatek from Genoa on Wednesday. The Poland international will replace Chelsea-bound Gonzalo Higuain at the spearhead of the Rossoneri's attack.

Though terms of the deal were not disclosed by either club, The Guardian's Fabrizio Romano asserts the move is an immediate permanent transfer worth €35 million. That sum will be paid immediately to Genoa and Piatek will sign a four-year deal in Milan. The move doesn't involve any other players.

Piatek is halfway through his first-ever season in Serie A after joining Genoa from Cracovia in the summer. The 23-year-old scored 19 goals in 21 games in all competitions for the Ligurian outfit before the new year.

For Milan, much rides on Piatek continuing the rich vein of form he found in Genoa as they look to replace Higuain's line-leading qualities, though the Argentine only scored six Serie A goals for the Rossoneri after his loan move from Juventus.

Meanwhile, Gianluca Di Marzio reports Genoa have already turned their attention toward Real Betis forward Antonio Sanabria as a potential replacement.

Neither Piatek nor Higuain featured during Milan's 2-0 victory over Genoa on Monday, with Higuain omitted from Gennaro Gattuso's squad and Piatek suspended due to yellow card accumulation.
