Veteran defenders Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli committed their future to Juventus on Friday by putting pen to paper on new contracts.

Chiellini has signed on for another two years until 2020, while Barzagli will play alongside him until 2019.

The new deals will see the pair continue their partnership in the heart of a Juventus backline that's been almost impenetrable. The reigning Serie A champion has only allowed 0.7 goals per match while collecting an average of 2.3 points per game whenever the two are on the pitch together.

Chiellini and Barzagli are also part of the Magnificent Five club, which is comprised of players who've enjoyed unprecedented success by helping Juventus win seven successive scudettos. Claudio Marchisio is the only other member of the Magnificent Five club that still plays at Juventus following the recent departures of legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and defender Stephan Lichtsteiner.

Chiellini, 33, ranks seventh in club history with 472 appearances, while Barzagli, 37, has appeared in 271 matches for the Bianconeri.
