France international midfielder Blaise Matuidi is widely considered one of the nicest guys in European football, and the Paris Saint-Germain star has further added to that reputation with a show of solidarity toward the English.

Les Bleus host England on Tuesday at the Stade de France in an international friendly, and in light of the recent terror attacks in Manchester and London, Matuidi has asked French supporters to sing "God Save the Queen."

"I encourage the people who will be at the Stade de France to sing the English anthem," Matuidi said Sunday at a press briefing in Clarefontaine, courtesy of L'Equipe.

The two nations separated by the English channel are no strangers to solidarity during trying times. Four days after multiple explosions rocked the Stade de France in November 2015 during a France-Germany match, England hosted Didier Deschamps' lot at Wembley, and the crowd serenaded the players with a stirring renditions of "La Marseillaise."

"This country deserves it, especially with what happened recently. It will be with great pleasure. We will also be supporting this country with what happened," the 58-time capped international added.

An explosion at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester on May 22 witnessed the deaths of 22 people, exactly two months after a terrorist attack in the vicinity of the Palace of Westminster saw six dead and 49 injured. On June 3, eight people were killed, including three French nationals, when a van mounted the pavement on the London Bridge before the three attackers stabbed several onlookers.
