Paris Saint-Germain are set to make a second attempt to sign Tottenham outcast Dele Alli on loan during the upcoming January window.

The Ligue 1 champs are expected to submit another offer for Alli after an advance in the summer was rejected by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, according to BBC Sport's Simon Stone.

Alli, 24, has started just one Premier League match this season and hasn't been included in Jose Mourinho's matchday squad for a league fixture since the 6-1 victory over Manchester United on Oct. 4.

The former England star was also an unused substitute for Thursday's Europa League win against Royal Antwerp in Belgium. Mourinho addressed the situation, saying it's "impossible" to keep every player happy.

Alli is understood to be frustrated by his lack of playing time after emerging as one of England's bright talents with the north London lot, pairing 64 goals and 56 assists in 230 appearances for Spurs.

This season, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso have been Mourinho's best attacking midfield options. Barring a glut of injuries that could offer Alli a return to the first-team fold, a loan could be the best option for catching England boss Gareth Southgate's eye before next summer's European Championship. Alli hasn't featured for England in the calendar year.

A move to PSG also has the potential to be beneficial for all parties involved. Thomas Tuchel's capital city side has lacked creativity in the midfield in the absence of Marco Verratti, an issue that was apparent during the club's early group stage outings in this season's Champions League.
