Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly trying to close in on Kylian Mbappe.

According to Sky Sports' Bryan Swanson, PSG is in talks with AS Monaco over a season-long loan deal for Mbappe with an agreement to buy the 18-year-old striker next summer. It's apparently understood that the deal includes Lucas Moura heading to Ligue 1's reigning champion, but the two clubs are far from reaching an agreement.

Sky values the overall deal at around €140 million.

Per L'Equipe, Mbappe, who was included in Monaco's squad for the club's 1-0 victory at FC Metz in Ligue 1, was excluded from training last Tuesday due to an altercation with Andrea Raggi after which the teenager refused to leave the pitch. His situation at Stade Louis II is allegedly increasingly uncomfortable.

In July, Monaco published a club statement, saying "important" European clubs contacted Mbappe and his entourage without Les Monegaques' authorisation. It was declared that the club is considering the option of asking the Ligue de Football and FIFA to "commit disciplinary procedures" against offenders. PSG, Manchester City, and Real Madrid were reportedly the clubs being threatened.

Five days later, the Guardian's Sid Lowe reported that Real Madrid believed a world-record transfer was close in which Mbappe would head to the Santiago Bernabeu for a total fee of €180 million. But it was subsequently reported that Los Blancos won't try to buy the youngster until next summer.

Mbappe is one of the numerous clickbait-heavy stories of the summer transfer window despite boasting just over 40 hours of league and European football at the professional level.
