Instagram post fuels rumours linking Zlatan with Mourinho, United

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is en route. Where, exactly, remains a mystery.

The Swedish star announced earlier in May that he'll leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer upon the expiration of his contract. His name's been linked with a host of potential suitors, including Manchester United.

The belief has long been that Ibrahimovic would relish the chance to join the Red Devils should Jose Mourinho assume control at the club. Curious, then - or perhaps not - that upon confirmation of Louis van Gaal's firing Monday, a photo emerged of Ibrahimovic on a private jet.

The Instagram post from former international teammate and close friend Alexander Ostlund coincided with reports from Dutch publication De Telegraaf that Ibrahimovic has reached a lucrative deal to join United.

He could be flying almost anywhere, but Mourinho's expected introduction as United manager on Tuesday means there's quite a lot of smoke for there not to be a fire.
