Cristiano Ronaldo will have a chance to add to his trophy cabinet after being named among the 11 finalists for the UEFA goal of the season award.

Despite Gareth Bale's superb overhead winner in the Champions League final against Liverpool, the Wales international was not nominated as his former Real Madrid teammate Ronaldo earned more votes to become the continental competition's lone representative for the award.

The Portuguese star earned a spot on the list thanks to his incredible overhead kick against his new team Juventus during Los Blancos' quarterfinal first-leg triumph.

Dimitri Payet also made the list with his incredible goal from the outside of his boot after the midfielder dribbled past a handful of RB Leipzig players before doubling Marseille's lead in the Europa League quarterfinals.

Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen is the Premier League's lone representative following his composed finish to help Denmark beat the Republic of Ireland during World Cup qualifying last fall.

Lucy Bronze's goal against Manchester City in the UEFA Women's Champions League semifinals was selected after the 26-year-old England international scored a slick volley to lead Lyon to victory.

England Under-19 midfielder Elliot Embleton rounds out the top three thanks to his curling winner against Turkey in the UEFA European Under-19 Championship group stage.
