Lance Stroll: Finds point in Abu Dhabi
Stroll finished 10th in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix F1 race at Yas Marina Circuit on Sunday.
Analysis:
Stroll started 15th on the grid after another underwhelming showing in qualifying. However, he and Aston Martin got the strategy right, as Stroll started the race on hard tires and was the second-to-last driver to pit. That allowed him to gain track position, which he maintained in a short second stint. Stroll was hit with a five-second penalty late in the race while defending a position from Carlos Sainz Jr., but he still managed to pick up his first point since the Dutch Grand Prix in late August. It was a positive close to an otherwise poor season, as Stroll managed to tally only 33 points.
