Pierre Gasly: P15 in Mexico City
Gasly finished 15th in the Mexico City Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
Another week of failing to advance out of Q1 would relegate Gasly to a back-end battle in Mexico City. The veteran Alpine driver opted for medium tyres and a one-stop strategy Sunday. It would only allow him to climb to P16 prior to his stop so gaining track position was difficult. He would fall a lap down to the leaders on lap 37 and would only promote up to P15 due to late-race retirements. Gasly will look for better results next round out in Brazil.
