Liam Lawson: Early Retirement in Mexico
Lawson would retire early and finished 20th in the Mexico City Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
Lawson would start 15th on the grid and hope to race his way to points Sunday in Mexico City. However, the chaos of lap 1 would see the Racing Bulls youngster take hard contact to his front wing. Lawson would pit for a new wing on lap 2 and initially carry on hoping to recover. Unfortunately, the damage to his car was more extensive than just the wing and he'd box on lap 5 and retire for the day with a wounded car. It was Lawson's fifth DNF of the season and he'll look to rebound next round out in Brazil.
