George Russell: Fifth in Austin
Russell finished sixth in the United States Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit of the Americas on Sunday.
Analysis:
The Mercedes didn't carry over its pace from Singapore, where Russell won in relatively commanding fashion. Instead, he was stuck behind both McLaren, Ferrari and Red Bull on raw pace at various points in the weekend. Russell finished second in the sprint, though that was a flattering result with both McLarens crashing on the opening turn. He dropped from fourth to sixth in the opening lap of the race on Sunday, marking his worst finish since the British Grand Prix.
