Max Verstappen: Wins United States Grand Prix
Verstappen has claimed a dominant victory at the United States Grand Prix, the Red Bull driver converting pole position into a commanding win while Lando Norris beat Charles Leclerc to second place in a thrilling duel between the pair, Formula1.com reports.
Analysis:
Unlike the Saturday Sprint, Verstappen would get away well at the lights out and everyone would carefully navigate turn 1 without incident. The Red Bull Racing star would execute a one-stop strategy at lap 33 and that would allow him to retain the lead for the entire grand prix. Verstappen would end up managing his soft tyres over the final laps but he would drive out to a strong 8-second victory over Norris. It was his fifth win of the season and 68th-career victory.
