Max Verstappen: Claims US Grand Prix Pole
Verstappen has seized pole position for the United States Grand Prix, the Dutchman's initial lap in Q3 proving enough to secure him the top spot after running out of time to put in a second effort, Formula1.com reports.
Analysis:
The Red Bull Racing star looked dominant in Q1 and Q2. Verstappen left no doubt in Q3 as he would march to a precise 1:32.510 lap early in the final session that would hold up to all challengers. He would edge Lando Norris by nearly three-tenths to claim pole position at Circuit of the Americas. Verstappen will start from P1 Sunday in Austin and be an odds-on favorite to win the United States Grand Prix.
