Esteban Ocon: Recovery Drive at Baku

Ocon finished 14th in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Baku City Circuit on Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

Ocon would start from the rear of the field due to his rear wing being found in violation of the regs after qualifying. It would be an uphill climb from there for the veteran Haas F1 driver. Ocon would take advantage of an early safety car for the Oscar Piastri crash to pit on lap 2 for fresh tyres. He would run the remainder of the grand prix on that set of hard tyres and stay out, promoting as others pitted mid-race. Ocon would lose a spot late to Oliver Bearman but still collect a reasonably good P14 by lap 51.
